The complexity of CAS
Kids with CAS not only find it hard to say their words. Anecdotal evidence also suggests CAS kids may have fine motor and dietary issues, and can be sensitive to touch and sounds. But they are usually bright little things, who share similar interests with each other -- such as computers. Tell us about your experiences.

Sam has just started seeing an occupational therapist. She's great and has Sam eating out of her hand. We are working on body awareness and he's doing things like playing "soccer" with straws and cotton wool balls - the person who blows the hardest and blows the ball of the table scores. Sam has such fun. Apparently OT fuels them up so they perform better in their speech sessions. We're planning an article on that topic so stay tuned.
